The Cabildo of Lanzarote continues to carry out the maintenance and repair tasks of the wind toys designed by the artist César Manrique. For this reason, the vice president and head of the Mobile Park, Jacobo Medina, recently visited the progress of the works of 'Fobos', the iconic mobile element that was located in the roundabout of Tahíche.
"The Cabildo staff is working hard to meet the deadlines and for 'Fobos' to be back in its place by the end of this month," Medina stressed, who also pointed out that to "speed up this process", "two more welders" have been added to the island staff.
In addition to 'Fobos', Medina supervised the state of the work designed in honor of Pepín Ramírez, which will also soon be reinstalled in its original place: the airport roundabout.
"We continue working hand in hand with the 'César Manrique Foundation' so that both mobile structures return to occupy the place and movement for which they were designed," concludes the vice president.
