A call for a Blocus demonstration, imitating marches in France and Barcelona, spread via TikTok and with an image created by artificial intelligence, has led to the intervention of the president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila (CC), who has asked the Government Delegation of Spain in the Canary Islands to "urgently analyze" these calls.

Two images, created by ChatGPT, start from photographs of Castillo street, the main commercial artery of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, manipulated with artificial intelligence, showing hundreds of people dressed in black, barricades, and torches. These calls, spread on social networks, aim to replicate the blockades (from the French blocus) that have taken place in other European cities, including Barcelona.

The calls, spread by a profile with over a hundred followers, promote a supposed demonstration for public education, against cuts, privatization, and the neglect of education. However, no entity, group, or association is identified as being behind the call. Meanwhile, the details of the call have been disseminated through a WhatsApp group, whose access is restricted.

Although the social media call has only accumulated a hundred shares, the poster has been reproduced on other profiles. According to the warning from the Cabildo of Tenerife, which has been confirmed by La Voz, these anonymous announcements incite the looting of commercial establishments. "We are going against large stores, banks, franchises, and large businesses (the traditional ones). We are not going to mess with neighbors, we are going after the system," reads the description of the WhatsApp group.

Among the instructions, mandatory attire, the setting fire to containers, the use of electric scooters to block lanes, and "to stop traffic" are also promoted. Furthermore, they also propose aggressions against state security forces.

Sources from the Government Delegation have informed La Voz that these calls are being monitored through social networks and that a "prevention device" is being prepared for the area. The one in Tenerife is not the only call promoted in the same way for the upcoming October 31st.
