Pedro San Ginés has resigned from his position as councilor in the Arrecife City Council, as announced in a statement sent to the media this Wednesday.
In this way, Rosmen Quevedo, the next on the list, will enter the Consistory, "a fundamental piece of the CC team in the capital of Arrecife, who was number 8 on the electoral list, and of which we have only obtained 7 councilor positions, which is why today I have resigned from taking possession of my position so that someone with the values and importance of Rosmen for our project, continues to be part of the government team that must face the future challenges of this city!", says San Ginés.
The nationalist explains that "when I accepted the proposal from the candidate and the Local Committee of Arrecife to be on the candidacy and the Coalición Canaria team for the capital's City Council and, considering that several incorporations had previously occurred to said team, I did so assuming the personal commitment that if it depended on me and the results were not as favorable as we expected, as happened, all the people who made up the previous CC team in the government and who continued on the lists, would continue in the team as public officials."
"I apologize to the citizens who placed their trust in our candidacy to be at the head of the city of Arrecife, but I was educated in values where the word is one of the few things that belong to one without anyone being able to take it away, and I promise not to go too far", he adds.
Pedro San Ginés points out that "I will work from my position as regional deputy so that La Graciosa, Lanzarote and all its municipalities occupy the place that corresponds to them in the context of Canarian politics and, very especially, so that its capital, Arrecife, is the worthy capital of a Biosphere Reserve that has many challenges to face in the coming years if we want to continue being worthy of such an award."
Finally, he states that "likewise, I want to thank all the people who have placed their trust in the candidacy of Echedey Eugenio and in Coalición Canaria. I am sure that all together, each one from the position that they have had to assume in this new journey, we will find the necessary balance to improve."
