The second advance indicates an increase in the participation of Lanzarote residents in the general elections, amounting to 1.46%. Specifically, by 5 p.m., 38.53% of the census had cast their vote on the island, compared to 37.07% four years ago.
By municipalities, the highest participation is being recorded in San Bartolomé (43.6%) and Teguise (42.65%). Next, Tinajo (41.96%), Haría (41.78%), Tías (39.11%), Arrecife (37.3%) and Yaiza (34.83%).
In the entire Canary archipelago, participation until that time has been 45.54% (slightly more than one point above that of 2019). By provinces, participation has increased almost two points in Las Palmas, while it barely grows in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
In Spain, more than half of the voters have already voted, although it must be considered that the polling stations have been open for one more hour in the peninsula and in the Balearic Islands. Specifically, throughout the country, 52.83% of the electoral census have cast their vote in the polls, which is 4 points less than at the same time in the previous elections, when 56.85% had voted at that time.
