The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, intervened this Tuesday morning on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero to explain that the completion works for the Playa Blanca pavilion would require an investment of four million euros.
"We are talking about almost four million euros for what has been detected as remaining to be finished, what may be wrong and needs to be corrected," Noda revealed during his appearance on Buenos días, Lanzarote.
The southern official assured that although the site management told him that 95% was completed, load tests for the swimming pool have not been carried out, nor have tests for roof water stagnation, nor have the heating and cooling machines been tested. "Actions have been detected that need to be corrected or changed," Noda added.
In his radio appearance, the mayor explained that it is "a complex work, which combines many things, but everything must be quantified well" to avoid any problems.
"It would be valued, perhaps, to have the pavilion finished, because it has very little left, the most costly part is the swimming pools, but we do want to award it, for a company in good condition to come and for the work to be marked with a schedule and finished as soon as possible," Noda defended.
In this regard, the mayor indicated that both spaces share facilities, so "you cannot have a water meter or fire protection systems for one side" and others "for the other," but rather they are designed to function together.
