The current Councilor for Social Services of the Tías City Council, Nicolás Saavedra, is the only candidate to be the head of the Podemos list for the Lanzarote Cabildo in the elections to be held in May. This is reflected on the website of the purple formation, where the lists of candidates are published this Thursday, October 27.
For his part, the Podemos councilor in the Cabildo, Jorge Peñas, who had applied to be the head of the list of the purple formation, has not managed to overcome the procedures and his candidacy has not been validated. Peñas is unaware of the reason why he has not been able to opt for the candidacy and party sources consider that it could be related to the fact that he has not obtained the necessary endorsements.
In addition, having not presented himself to the body of the Podemos list for the Cabildo, he has been left out of both candidacies.
The only list for the Lanzarote Cabildo of Podemos is as follows; Nicolás Saavedra, Yurena Corujo, Rafael Torres, Juan Luis Jiménez, María del Río Sánchez, Omayra Díaz, Javier Pérez, Mónica Peña and Samuel Lariño.
