Jesús Ruiz, one of the residents of the hundred homes in Titerroy, known as the Juan Luis Salazar homes, was on the Buenos días, Lanzarote program on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero this Tuesday to talk about the situation he and the other residents are in, given the poor condition of their homes.

In the program, Ruiz stated that "those who manage the San José Obrero pavilion have taken it as a personal war with the owners and residents of the neighborhood, making our lives impossible for only wanting to regularize things."

In this sense, the neighbor has said that "they have gone to talk to them so that they comply with the schedule." And he says that when there are games in the pavilion "you can't live because it's not just the game and the shouting, but they bring drums, whistles and horns, and they are making noise from five in the afternoon until eleven at night... what body can withstand that?"

In fact, during the interview, she revealed that she suffered an anxiety attack this Monday as a result of this situation. "I had to go to the ER, I had a very bad time and I don't think this is right either," she said.

Furthermore, Ruiz has stated that he is having "problems" with the managers and that the situation "is in the hands of the police." However, he pointed out that despite having called the police about this situation, "they tell us they can't do anything, they wash their hands and say that it is the City Council that has to act."

"We have nothing personal against them, what we are asking the Department of Sports is to regularize the pavilion because it is not even soundproofed as required by law, which states that if they are in the middle of a population they must be soundproofed if they are not more than 200 meters from the houses," he continued.

Likewise, he explained that the roof is made of aluminum, "which makes the sound much worse, the building shakes when they come with the drums."

However, he pointed out that he has not received a response, but has warned the authorities that "we are going to go all the way and if we have to go to court, we will, because what cannot be is that all the money is for parties and then the neighbors who have worked and contributed all our lives, have no right to anything."
