Más Canarias has denounced the Popular Party before the Central Electoral Board, as well as in the regional one, for advertising during the voting day.
The party considers it "unacceptable to play dirty during such an important day for democracy." The general coordinator of the party, Javier Navarro Lasso, asserts that “if they are capable of doing something like this when people are voting and, presumably, committing a crime, what will they not be capable of doing if they come to power?”.
The test video has been attached to the sent complaint, which appears as “paid for by Jacobo Medina”, candidate of the Popular Party in Lanzarote, with verifiable metadata on the moment in which the advertising appeared.
In addition to that, "the party denounces irregularities in some tables of the archipelago, such as the one in the Casa Consistorial of San Fernando de Maspalomas, in Gran Canaria." There, the party has stated in the record that the ballots of some parties, such as those of Más Canarias, "were hidden in a box and were not made available to citizens until 1:15 p.m., when it was expressly requested to the president of the Table".
“In Más Canarias we will defend fair play in the elections until the end, those who do not respect the basic rules should not touch power either” concludes Javier Navarro Lasso.
