Lanzarote will have an 'Employment Launcher' to promote the labor insertion of 25 young people

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, the Telefónica Foundation and the Santa María la Real Foundation will launch the 'Lanzarote Employment Launchpad' in May. The 'Launchpad' will serve to help 25 unemployed young people, aged between 18 and 34, to "practice a new team job search, strengthen their skills, learn new search tools according to the current labor market, increase their employability and have new opportunities for socio-labor insertion", said the Minister of Employment, Manuel Cabrera.

As explained by the Cabildo, the selected young people will meet several days a week, for five months, in premises provided by this institution. With the help and guidance of an expert professional technician, they will develop activities to "improve their employability", such as "coaching and emotional intelligence sessions, communication dynamics, personal branding and job search 2.0, personal interview training, preparation of employability maps, visits to companies, meetings with entrepreneurs and labor intermediation processes with Human Resources managers".

Young people with basic studies from Vocational Training or Baccalaureate, as well as university degrees or bachelor's degrees, will be able to participate. "Likewise, experience in a specific labor sector is not required, but participation is open to people with diverse backgrounds, from different labor areas, with or without experience, or with special difficulties in accessing the labor market," they add.

145 launchpads with the co-financing of the European Social Fund

The Lanzarote launchpad is included among the 145 that the Telefónica Foundation and the Santa María la Real Foundation will launch this year with the collaboration and co-financing of the European Social Fund. The project has the collaboration of the Government of the Canary Islands.

Those interested in participating in this project have until May 20 to register for the program, online, through the Lanzaderas website (http://www.lanzaderasdeempleo.es/formulario-de-inscripcion) or in person, requesting, filling out and submitting the corresponding form at the Cabildo's Employment Area (located on Avenida Fred Olsen s/n, Arrecife) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Likewise, you can consult additional information on the telephone number 928 81 01 00 (extension 2224) and through the website www.cabildodelanzarote.com.
