The councilor of Lanzarote En Pie - Sí Podemos in the municipality of Yaiza, Ramiro Muñoz, has criticized "the neglect of the Cleaning Department of the southern consistory", for how the public bathrooms of the Playa Blanca bus station are.
“The situation has been going on for more than fifteen days with some bathrooms closed and nauseating odors. There are bathrooms blocked by technical problems, but it is not understood that others are disabled due to lack of hygiene. We are in times of high influx of people in Playa Blanca and having facilities in these conditions is unacceptable”, questions Muñoz.
Likewise, the councilor emphasizes "the lack of resources for the cleaning staff." “The material is delivered in a supermarket cart for the staff to carry out their work. A fact that demonstrates the level of neglect by the area managed by councilor Rubén Arca”, adds Muñoz.
In addition, he assures that “this situation is not new and is being prolonged over time, being that those responsible are aware of it because the complaints from users are many". "It is not understood that as of today it has not yet been resolved”, he points out.
For Ramiro Muñóz, “the image of Playa Blanca as a tourist destination must be impeccable and attention to detail is essential to offer quality services”, so “it is incomprehensible that a City Council that boasts of its budgets does not allocate money to improve the health and image conditions of public facilities used daily by tourists, residents and people who travel to their jobs”.
