The creativity and talent of Lanzarote have shone brightly at the International Flamenco Fashion Week (SIMOF) 2025, one of the most prestigious events in the sector, where the island was represented by one of its most renowned designers, Oswaldo Machín

“Participation in this event reinforces the Council's commitment to promoting the creative industry and taking the name of Lanzarote to leading stages,” said the Minister of Industry, Aroa Revelo, highlighting the importance of this projection for the island's textile and craft sector.

“From the Cabildo de Lanzarote we support local talent because we know that our creative industry has enormous potential. Events like SIMOF allow us to demonstrate that Lanzarote is not only an exceptional tourist destination, but also a benchmark in fashion and design. We will continue to encourage our creators so that they can take their work beyond our borders,” he said.

"The Council's commitment to the development of local industry is reflected in initiatives that promote the visibility and growth of designers, artisans and entrepreneurs in the textile sector," they say from the institution. “We want our professionals to have real growth opportunities and for Lanzarote to be recognized as a hub of creativity and innovation,” added Revelo.
