The PSOE candidate for Mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, stated at the central campaign event held last Tuesday, May 23, that "voting for the Socialist Party is voting for a more humane management and social policies that are closer to the citizens."

This meeting with PSOE members, supporters, and residents of the town was attended by representatives of the municipal and island lists with which the political formation is running in these elections on the island, including "Loli Corujo and colleagues from her candidacy and from the seven town councils of the island," the party reports.

In his speech, Pérez recalled that in these weeks, "the PSOE visits every corner of the municipality to, on the one hand, give an account of the work done by the Government Group in these four years and, also, to present the project with which it is running in the elections this Sunday, May 28."

The candidate thanked "the involvement and effort" of so many people in an absolutely altruistic way, for love of these initials and for love of San Bartolomé," to make the PSOE program "closer and better known." He valued the "incredible and tireless" work done by the outgoing Socialist Municipal Group and had "some emotional words" of remembrance for Alexis Tejera Lemes, stressing that there is not "a single minute of this election campaign that does not bear his mark."

Isidro Pérez emphasized the "unwavering commitment of the party with this town from the maximum humanization of social policies" and assured that the new team has "the necessary strength to continue working for San Bartolomé, from the town center to Playa Honda, from Montaña Blanca to Güime, from El Islote to Mozaga."

After taking stock of the "powerful work" developed in these four years, "the most complex mandate we have experienced," he recalled "the socialist commitment to the elderly, to equality, to youth, to public health and education, to sports, to local commerce or to citizen participation," among other issues.

Regarding the project for the next term, he announced that the PSOE will continue to make "a more accessible municipality, with the adaptation of the different spaces and also of the León y Castillo Square." In addition, he also highlighted "the comprehensive renovation of the Municipal Theater, the Santa Elena Square, the adaptation of the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park to a fairground, the continuation of the modernization plan of the different sports facilities and the commitment to continue improving aid to students."

"From the PSOE we will continue working for the welfare support for the elderly, for a cultural and youth revitalization plan in all the towns of the municipality and we will advance in the Municipal Heritage Recovery Plan," added the candidate, who assured that "he will not commit to anything that he is not going to fulfill."

"Let's vote to continue building a social, supportive and sustainable San Bartolomé"

Isidro Pérez closed his speech by encouraging people to vote this Sunday: "From Monday the 29th, we want to go even further in the transformation that the municipality has experienced with the Socialist Party." Next Sunday, "let's vote to continue building a social, supportive and sustainable San Bartolomé," he made clear.

"This May 28, let's vote for San Bartolomé; let's vote for the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party," he concluded.
