The validity of antigen detection tests to enter Spain is reduced from this Tuesday to 24 hours instead of the 48 it had until now, according to the Official State Gazette published this Tuesday.

The resolution of the General Directorate of Health, regarding the health controls to be carried out at the entry points of Spain, highlights that this decision is the result of a recommendation from the European Union in this regard.

Until now, certificates of antigen detection tests whose sample had been obtained within 48 hours prior to arrival in Spain were accepted as valid.

The diagnostic test certificate must include at least the following information: name and surname of the holder, date the sample was taken, type of test performed and issuing country.
