The town of Güime will celebrate, from June 6 to 13, the festivities in honor of San Antonio de Padua.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has invited the neighborhood to enjoy the patron saint festivities, wishing them "happy days to enjoy and share in community."
Likewise, Pérez has thanked the Department of Festivities, directed by Estefanía Luzardo, for their work, and has extended his gratitude "to all the people who, as in each edition, are dedicated to ensuring that the neighborhood enjoys a program of events for all audiences." "Thank you for the great involvement and work," adds Pérez.
The Consistory points out that the little ones of the house have numerous workshops and events within the festivities, including the children's play back.
Within the program, it is worth mentioning the night of parrandas with the performances of "El Golpito" and "Son del Norte", the adult playback, concluding with the performances of "Sin Cobertura" and "Nueva Stella", and the neighborhood meeting, which will feature inflatables, children's workshops and the performance of the Parranda "Pa'l Porrón".
On Monday, June 13, the festivities will conclude with the Religious Function and procession accompanied by the Municipal Band of San Bartolomé, at 6:00 p.m. In addition, there will be a theater and the burning of fireworks.
Detailed program of events
Activities will kick off on Monday, June 6. Specifically, it will be done with the "Mini Chef Children's Workshop" at 5:30 p.m. Later, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a zumba masterclass with Gema & Carmen at the Güime Civic Center. To close the day, there will be a raffle and the start of the Chinchón Tournament for those over 16 years of age at 8:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, there will be skate, chess and quemao workshops in the town, while on Wednesday the 8th there will be a dessert, tortilla and liquor contest, with a performance by the magician Artem, and at 8:00 p.m. the women's 4x4 ball tournament.
On Thursday, June 9, there will be a rosette workshop at 6:00 p.m., and at the same time there will be "Luidueduca y a jugar" for the little ones on the town's court.
On Friday, June 10, there will be musical performances: at 8:00 p.m. the children's playback, with performances by the MT Dance Dance School, and at 9:30 p.m. the traditional "Noche de Parrandas", with "El Golpito" and "Son del Norte".
On Saturday there will be a children's collage workshop at 11:00 a.m., and at 11:30 a.m. there will be a wine tasting in the town's civic center. At 9:00 p.m. the adult playback will be held. Afterwards, there will be performances by the groups "Sin Cobertura" and "Nueva Stella".
On Sunday, June 12, there will be a solidarity race at 11:00 a.m., and at 12:30 p.m. there will be a neighborhood meeting with inflatables, children's workshops -with the collaboration of the PFAE San Bartolomé Dinamiza2- and the performance of the Parranda "Pa'l Porrón". At 3:30 p.m. there will be a foam party in the square and at 6:30 p.m. there will be a Surprise bingo.
The festivities will close on Monday, June 13, with mass and procession at 6:00 p.m., which will be accompanied by the Municipal Band of San Bartolomé. Finally, at 8:00 p.m. there will be a theater with the play "Therapy", by the Asociación de Cultura y Festejos Raíces del Pueblo, ending with the burning of fireworks.
