The festivities of San Antonio de Padua in Güime came to an end on Monday night, with the celebration of the town's “Big Day”, with the solemn religious service, followed by a procession through the streets of the town. It was attended by a good group of neighbors, who were also accompanied by the mayor, Isidro Pérez, and members of the Council.
After the procession, the neighborhood enjoyed the performance of the play “Therapy”, and the fireworks that added a touch of color to the night.
The residents of Güime enjoyed a few days in community around the Civic Center of the town, sharing numerous events for all ages, with special emphasis on the family audience.
The mayor, Isidro Pérez, appreciates “the great work done” from the Department of Celebrations, which is directed by Estefanía Luzardo, and extends his gratitude “to all the people who have turned out to ensure that the neighborhood enjoys a program for all audiences”. He also thanked “the great involvement and work” of the Las Majadas de Goime Association.
From the Consistory they point out that the little ones of the house had numerous workshops, mini chef, children's collage, skate, chess, ludieduca, children's dynamization, inflatables; as well as events with resounding public success such as the children's playback, which featured the performance of MTDance, or the foam party.
The Consistory also points out that various activities took place, such as zumba masterclasses, card tournaments, bowling, the quemao tournament, dessert, tortilla and liqueur contest, as well as a magic performance, a rosette workshop, or a solidarity race.
From the San Bartolomé City Council, they highlight the musical performances, such as the celebration of the night of parrandas, with the performances of “El Golpito” and “Son del Norte”, and the applauded adult playback, which concluded with the performances of “Sin Cobertura” and “Nueva Stella”.
Likewise, from the Consistory they highlight the neighborhood meeting, which was attended by public of all ages tasting local products, enlivened by the Parranda “Pa´l Porrón”, to which space was also joined for the little ones of the house, with inflatables and children's workshops with the collaboration of the PFAE San Bartolomé Dinamiza2.
The Councilor for Celebrations, Estefanía González, shows her “great joy” for these parties marked by the good atmosphere and high neighborhood participation. “Thank you!”, exclaims the mayor.
