Drago Verdes Canarias has requested explanations about the funds managed by the general director of Historical Heritage of the Canary Islands Government, Nona Perera, candidate of Unidas Sí Podemos to the Arrecife City Council and the Parliament of the Canary Islands. The Canarian formation accuses of the "not transparent" and "apparently clientelistic" use of these funds.

The ecologist coalition has pointed out that the Podemos candidate "would have published a book financed by an association that received thousands of euros as a subsidy from the General Directorate of Heritage itself." They also accuse that propaganda of her own book was made from the accounts on the networks of the Directorate itself.

“Of course it doesn't seem ethical to self-finance your own books, or to do self-propaganda. But not only that, it is a very dangerous and undemocratic way of managing public money. We are concerned about this way of treating public affairs, very typical of Casimiro Curbelo.”

Drago Verdes Canarias thus joins other complaints made against the management of Podemos in the Government of the Canary Islands, such as the one made by the LGTBI Aranda association, which has warned of alleged "finger-pointing" contracts for an amount of at least 250,000 euros by the Ministry of Social Rights, Equality, Diversity and Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands.

One of the central instigators of these contracts would apparently have been Laura Fuentes, a candidate with a double nomination for Parliament and the Los Realejos City Council, and General Director of Youth, who, according to several sources, "would have generated a network of minor and uncontrolled contracts to associations and related groups."

Or also the complaint of alleged minor contracts made by the Canarian Institute of Equality, also managed by Podemos, whose destination could have been a company related to the Vox deputy for the province of Las Palmas.

“If confirmed, these are very ugly practices, very much like old politics that seek to extend clientelism and hinder the work of controlling public money. Nona Perera should respond and give public explanations about this. We are legally analyzing all the contracts and we will go as far as necessary to know the destination of those funds.”
