The Executive Committee of Ciudadanos has appointed the vice president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Enrique Arriaga, as the new coordinator of the party in the Canary Islands, and David Rodríguez as the island coordinator of the party in Lanzarote. In addition, the Lanzarote native will be in charge of the party's Communication in the archipelago.

It should be remembered that, after the divisions that arose in the party after the 2019 elections that ended with the resignation of several of its main leaders and internal indiscipline in the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and in the Tenerife Cabildo, Ciudadanos created a management team in the Canary Islands, of which David Rodríguez himself was a part, who ended up as the sole member of the same after the resignation of the other members.

This Monday, in compliance with the current statutes and the organization regulations, the Executive Committee of Ciudadanos has approved the designation of the Autonomous Committees and, in addition to the appointments of Arriaga and Rodríguez, has agreed to designate Ricardo Fernández de la Puente as the party's coordinator in Tenerife.

The Board of Directors of the new Cs autonomous committee in the Canary Islands will be made up of Enrique Arriaga as coordinator, Ruymán Santana as head of Institutional Action, Virginia Bacallado as head of the Organization area, and David Rodríguez as head of Communication.

In addition, Matilde Zambudio, Victoria Eugenia Fumero, Lidia Cáceres, Inés Rodríguez, Huneidi Abdul Razzak and Vidina Espino have been appointed as members of the committee.
