Ciudadanos (Cs) achieved in the last plenary session of the Yaiza City Council that the four motions presented by the formation were unanimously approved, among which it started "the commitment of the municipal government to launch a maintenance and repair service for the roads of the municipality."
In this regard, the municipal spokesperson for Cs in the local corporation, Bruno Medina, explained that "initially an economic and feasibility study will be carried out in which they collect the roads that may enter this service", and subsequently, "transfer it to the new island contracting center in which in the same plenary we voted for the accession by the Consistory, in order to obtain a better service for the residents of the municipality of Yaiza, all in conjunction with the neighboring municipalities and with the Cabildo of Lanzarote."
Likewise, Ciudadanos claimed to have also achieved that the City Council commit "to carry out a study of the areas of the municipality that lack Desa or Dea defibrillators, to implement these devices and achieve cardioprotected areas in Yaiza." In this sense, Medina pointed out that "it is about analyzing in which places it is necessary to install this type of device, in order to take care of residents and visitors."
Another of the Ciudadanos motions approved unanimously was that of "transferring to the island Council a request to sign and condition the cycle path called LZ-701, commonly called the old road."
Finally, Cs highlights that thanks to them the Yaiza City Council "will transfer to the Cabildo table and the city councils a proposal to implement a reduced rate in the water bill to all people affected by the Covid-19 crisis." "From Ciudadanos we are satisfied with the work done, and we will continue in the same line of contributing and contributing in a useful way to the neighbors from the opposition and through useful politics," concludes Bruno Medina.
