Ciudadanos (Cs) has achieved this Wednesday through the approval of a motion that "the municipal government of San Bartolomé is committed to adapt the coastline, in order to obtain the Blue Flag distinction on the beaches of the town of Playa Honda”.
In this sense, the municipal spokesman for Cs in the local corporation, Javier Lemes, explained that “the objective is to implement a plan to condition and adapt the beaches, since the requirements of accessibility, safety and water quality, and environmental management and education must be met, because this award can bring numerous benefits at a tourist level for the municipality, a fact that “will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of Playa Honda and San Bartolomé in general”.
“We must continue working to ensure that San Bartolomé is up to par in everything related to caring for the environment”, concluded Lemes.
