Ciudadanos (Cs) has announced that it will present a motion in the next ordinary plenary session of the Yaiza City Council to request the municipal government to intervene "urgently" to condition the town of Playa Quemada.
To this end, the municipal spokesperson for the orange formation in the local corporation, Bruno Medina, has proposed that "an asphalting plan be launched, starting with El Pasito street, through which many residents pass and which today is still dirt." He also asked that "the streets be properly signposted and street cleaning be applied, especially" now that after the rains the streets have been left in poor condition."
Medina also states that "with this asphalting and channeling plan, the lines can be buried and fiber optics can be installed in the streets of the town", since "unlike the rest of the towns in Yaiza, most of the residents of Playa Quemada do not have the possibility", stressing that "there must be equality between the towns".
The Ciudadanos councilor has demanded that the municipal government "urgently condition the small beach of the town, because after the rains last Thursday, it has disappeared and has been left full of dirt, all due to the lack of cleaning of drains and ravines that flow into it." For this reason, he has asked that "an intervention be carried out as soon as possible", before "times change and the tides carry all that dirt to the bathing area and the bottom of the sea".
"The government group led by Óscar Noda should not forget the residents and the town of Playa Quemada", since "it is part of the municipality and needs the same attention and care as the rest of the towns in Yaiza", Medina concluded.
