Despite repeated formal requests submitted based on current regulations, the government team "has ignored its obligation to allow access to public documentation, thus preventing the opposition from carrying out its oversight work and violating the right to information of the residents of the municipality", the party says.

According to Compromiso X Haría, the political formation submitted a request for access to several files dated November 6 and November 21, 2024, with "a negative response at all times, having to request them once again in the last ordinary plenary session held on the 12th of this month. To date, they have not been delivered".

"Such is the negligence on the part of the government team and the general apathy that even the request for the minutes of the plenary session held on December 4, 2024, is not delivered, a plenary session that citizens should remember should not have been held because the mayor was not present at the time of the call and that once the representatives of CXH were no longer in the room, it was carried out, once again skipping the law and the mayor doing whatever he wants, seeking more his political benefit than that of the residents of Haría", they declare.

"This behavior of secrecy not only reflects a worrying lack of commitment to accountability, but also raises doubts about the management of municipal resources. We do not know what the government team has done with the procedures and we fear that this lack of information has some background and we are concerned about how much money it will ultimately cost the citizens of the municipality of Haría", they point out.

In the words of the leader of the CXH party, Chaxiraxi Niz, “transparency is not an option, but a legal and ethical requirement that any democratic government must comply with”.

"We demand that the government team rectify its attitude and facilitate immediate access to the requested files. There are competent legal measures to guarantee compliance with regulations on transparency and good governance, and this must be carried out if it is not complied with", they defend.

"From CXH we reiterate our commitment to the defense of transparency and citizen participation, fundamental values for responsible municipal management and for the benefit of the entire community", he concludes.
