Coalition Canaria has expressed its condolences to the family and friends of the former mayor of Arrecife, José María Espino. The former mayor was a member of the nationalist formation after his time with the PSOE. He was also a councilor of the capital, counselor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, constituent deputy of the Canary Islands Government; as well as director and professor for more than three decades of the Associated Center of the UNED in Lanzarote.
Migdalia Machín, general secretary of CC in Lanzarote and also Minister of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, deeply regrets - on behalf of the nationalist formation - the loss of who has undoubtedly been one of the most relevant figures in the history of island politics.
