The Comisiones Obreras has called a concentration throughout Spain for this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. against the rejection of the Popular Party, Vox and Junts to approve the increase and revaluation of pensions, extend the gratuity of transport, the increase in the Minimum Interprofessional Wage and many other social measures.
These measures "affect more than half of the population of our country and, of course, on our island," the union highlighted in a press release issued this Wednesday. CCOO Lanzarote has made a massive call for the population to concentrate on Ramírez Cerdá Park on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
"Some will have to work but others will not, therefore our commitment is to demand that the irresponsible political class not gamble with our rights to improvement and not leave millions of workers, young people and pensioners/retirees in the lurch," he said.
Thus, he indicated that "we all have in our family and friends circles, who are pensioners, retirees, who use public transport or who receive the Minimum Interprofessional Wage."
To conclude, he stressed that "it cannot be allowed to block social measures that are so important for the working class and for citizens."
