The Nationalist Youth of Lanzarote (JNL) wanted to "collaborate with the Three Wise Men so that the boys and girls of the most needy families do not lose hope and can also have their gifts this Christmas".
To this end, in mid-December they launched a solidarity toy collection campaign that "has been widely accepted among the members and supporters of the Canarian Coalition, as well as among anonymous people who have come to the headquarters of the nationalist formation on the island these days to deposit their gifts".
This weekend, the Secretary of Organization of the JNL, Aroa Revelo, and other colleagues of the young nationalists, went to the Deiland Shopping Center, where the Association "Manos que no dais qué esperáis" has a collection point, and has delivered part of the gifts. Another part will be delivered to the Association "La vida es Zuaina", based in the capital's Argana neighborhood.
Both associations will be in charge of distributing the toys among the families that need them.
"These dates are very special and there are families who are having a really bad time. That is why I want to thank all those people who have joined our initiative and have lent a hand so that the little ones can keep their smile", said the general secretary of the youth organization, Maciot Cabrera, who stresses that we must not forget that "after the pandemic of Covid-19 and its economic consequences the number of people who need help has been increasing".
