The spokesman for the Canarian Coalition in the San Bartolomé City Council, David Rocío, demands the "immediate" rehabilitation of the access ramp to Guasimeta beach in the town of Playa Honda, which has been deteriorated for some time, as well as the acquisition by the City Council of a new amphibious chair and the establishment of special parking spaces for people with reduced mobility.

As the CC councillor emphasizes, “it is regrettable that in the middle of summer and with a greater number of users on the beach, the access walkway is not accessible to everyone and the assistance services themselves are carried out avoiding said ramp”.

The nationalist spokesman also does not understand how the amphibious chair acquired years ago by the City Council continues to be maintained, despite its poor condition, and has not already been replaced by a new one.

David Rocío, on behalf of the nationalist group, also demands that the parking spaces on the esplanade, which were eliminated by the City Council without offering any type of alternative, be recovered, or that they be located in an area that allows access to the beach, the hospitality industry in the area, healthy walks or the dog beach.

Likewise, he asks the government group not to forget people with reduced mobility and to establish special parking spaces where they can park their vehicles.

We should all have the right to enjoy our beaches, but it seems that for this government, the well-being of its residents is not a priority”, said Rocío.
