After the deadline agreed by Coalición Canaria and the Plataforma de José Torres Stinga for the replacement in the Alcaldía de Haría has passed, both formations remain silent. "I am not going to make statements until the circumstances arise. I am in other matters," Torres Stinga, who headed the PMH list and, in theory, would be the person who should take the baton, has declared to La Voz.
For her part, the number two on that list, Evelia García, has not denied that she could be the one who finally holds the position, as CC apparently claims, due to differences with her former party colleague. "We are right in the process of agreement and elaboration of the process, so it is assumed that yes, but I cannot confirm it to you. Obviously it will be agreed upon," García has limited herself to pointing out.
"We still don't know anything clear," added the councilor of the Plataforma del Municipio de Haría, who has attributed these doubts to her absence during the last week for medical reasons. "I am joining today," she pointed out.
As for the current mayor of CC, Chaxiraxi Niz - who, according to the agreement sealed between both formations, should have already handed over the baton - she has not wanted to shed light either. "The secretary joined yesterday and we are carrying out the matters to make the change. I am pending. From the moment it is known, the media will be aware of it," she replied to La Voz.
In addition, she has not clarified whether she plans to resign soon to carry out the change in the Mayor's Office. "We will explain the procedure when we have it clear and agreed with the secretary. We are in it, I cannot tell you anything because we would not give it veracity," she affirmed, without confirming either who will be the person who replaces her.
