Canary Islands and Andalusia are the autonomous communities that accumulate the most complaints about the situation of the System for Autonomy and Attention to Dependency.

These disagreements are related to the management of the lists for access to services, the order of priority of access and the right to know their position on the list.
According to the Opinion of the Dependency Observatory of 2024 of the State Association of Directors and Managers of Social Services, the Canary Islands is at the bottom of the country in this matter, only ahead of Murcia, due to the "enormous inequalities" between territories, taking into account coverage and management models.
Thus, although the number of people served increased last year, by 10.63%, "the limbo" of people waiting increased, that is, in a situation of prolonged waiting, up to 3,006, 28.9% more, well above the national average, which was 8.7%. In the archipelago, applications increased by 20.03% in one year, up to 12,641 new applications in twelve months.
