Collectives of early childhood education professionals in the Canary Islands have called for a concentration this Wednesday, May 20, in front of the Casa Amarilla, the former headquarters of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, in Arrecife, at 5:00 PM.

Under the slogan For public, quality education from 0-3, the event seeks to expose the sector's discontent and urgently demand a series of "structural and labor improvements." Thus, families and professionals in the early childhood education sector on the island have been called to mobilize to demand urgent improvements in this educational cycle.

Among the main demands that will be presented during the reading of the manifesto are:

  1. Establishment of the educational pair: two stable educators per classroom to guarantee safe attention.
  2. More EAT resources: sufficient provision of Early Intervention Teams in all centers.
  3. Inclusion as teaching staff: Full recognition of their pedagogical work within the educational community.
  4. Equivalence to other stages: Same working conditions and rights.
  5. Salary improvements: Decent and fair salaries that exceed the current SMI.
  6. Reduction of ratios: Smaller groups for quality and individualized education.

Attendees must come dressed in yellow and carrying protest banners.
