"Ástrid Pérez favors the owners of Ginory again by letting the deadline for the last appeal expire"

This is stated by the PSOE, which assures that with the latest information on the fair price there was still an option to appeal it. "If the money came out of Astrid's or Echedey's pocket, they would surely appeal to the last penny," questions Cristina Duque.

"Astrid Pérez and Echedey Eugenio have once again favored the interests of their friends at Ginory, and in this case they have only needed to do what they do best: not lift a finger.”. That is what the spokesperson for the PSOE of Arrecife, Cristina Duque, has denounced, who affirms that "after the latest data provided" by her party, "the City Council had until the end of March to issue a report and discuss the fair price again" approved in its day.

Duque emphasizes that this "could have saved millions of euros to the capital of Lanzarote", while not doing so "condemns" the city "to the millionaire payment of a very debatable land".

In this regard, she insists that since mid-December, "both the mayor of Arrecife and her government partners have had the data that shows that the compensation that the owners of the City Council are charging is far from what the expertise has found of this alleged land gained from the sea".

"Key data that Ástrid and Echedey prefer to hide"

"The owners of Ginory say that the plot has 10,754 square meters, but the expert report says that the real estate has an area of 1,815 square meters, resulting from the sum of two plots, one of 1,630 and another of 185", recalls the PSOE.

"Therefore, in this case, Arrecife is paying for a plot six times smaller than the one the owners claim", adds the party, which emphasizes that the fair price of 20 million was calculated in its day taking those 10,754 square meters, "so the property could be worth six times less."

"The fact of reviewing the fair price did not invalidate what was being done in the area of payment of the payment plan, so it implied zero risks for the City Council", highlights Duque, who considers that these are "key data" that the current government partners "prefer to hide". "If the money came from Ástrid's or Echedey's pocket, they would surely have appealed to the last penny”, says the PSOE spokesperson.
