The PSOE Arrecife denounces that "Astrid Pérez and Echedey Eugenio only have one mission, to guarantee that their friends from Ginory collect as much as possible, and for that they had to do it as quickly as possible."

The socialist councilor explains that "the strategy was evident, first delaying the plenary session in which the freezing of payments to Ginory was voted on. For this, the motion to freeze payments to Ginory, which could be held on December 20, was delayed to take it on January 5 as an extraordinary plenary session." "This was a fundamental act in the strategy of the current pact since it prevented the plenary session from voting on the freezing of financial operations between Astrid Pérez, Echedey Eugenio and the Ginory property. In that interval of time gained, they managed to secretly pay more than 20 million to their friends from Ginory," adds Duque.

Cristina Duque adds that "then they held the plenary session where they had the face to vote in favor of stopping the payments that they had already made five days before in a hurry and secretly, managing to get the property to pocket the money."

"The PSOE's motions, as we have already said, were aimed at reviewing the veracity of the payment to the owners of this land, given that new evidence shows that a large part of the land corresponds to a sheet of water and land reclaimed from the sea. This plenary session could only harm one party, the property that claims an incredible amount of money, and could only benefit the city of Arrecife," emphasizes Councilor Cristina Duque.

However, the PSOE councilor criticizes, "the Popular Party and the Canarian Coalition were willing to guarantee that the millions of all Arrecife residents would go directly into the pockets of the plaintiffs. That is why they secretly paid more than 20 million euros on December 31 while the good citizens were preparing the grapes in their homes. Meanwhile, Astrid and Echedey were sending millions of euros to the fortunate owners."

Duque also asks "what is the vote of the Canarian Coalition and the Popular Party worth? What is the point of now sending the documentation to the Council of Ministers? Or initiating other procedures to defend the interests of our municipality? What is the mayor of Arrecife going to do now if the evidence shows that the land does not exist? Ask the lucky ones to return the money?"

Finally, Cristina Duque emphasizes that "if the PSOE had not made public Astrid Pérez's payment of more than 20 million euros, no one would have found out about the operation that the Popular Party, and its partners in the Canarian Coalition, carried out secretly and in the middle of New Year's Eve."
