The Arrecife City Council, chaired by Astrid Pérez, has taken a further step in the project of the future Argana Alta Health Center, upon receiving from the Ministry of Ecological Transition of the Government of the Canary Islands the favorable Strategic Environmental Report for the plot located between Aires de Lima, Mazurca and Toledo Cabrera streets to become for sanitary use.
Thus, the capital Consistory will process with urgent character the initial urban approval of the minor modification of the General Plan of municipal ordinance of the Action Unit 5 that will allow the implementation of the Argana Alta health center. The Minor Modification of the General Plan of Arrecife that has been submitted to Environmental Assessment has consisted of delimiting an area of Non-Consolidated Urban Land within the Action Unit 5 for sanitary use and to be able to allocate it to a Health Center.
Therefore, the Argana Alta neighborhood will have a health infrastructure according to the population it has, and very soon it will be able to have this Health Center that will further expedite Primary Care in the capital. This last procedure has been carried out based on the documents sent in September 2022, when the Plenary approved to send all the land documentation to the Government of the Canary Islands so that the regional Administration could carry out the approval of the Environmental Assessment and, therefore, now the city council will proceed to its initial urban approval.
