The Arrecife City Council, through the Departments of Culture, Education, and Seniors, has enabled a free bus service to facilitate attendance at the island-wide screenings of the Traveling Cinema cycle, an initiative of the Tenique Cultural Association, which has the support of the City Councils and the sponsorship of the Cabildo through the Culture area directed by Jesús Machín Tavío.

After "the success" of the screenings 'Última llamada' and 'Odisea de los Giles' last week in the Plaza Pedro Alcántara of Arrecife, with an extraordinary reception from the public in this emblematic and renovated space of the city also known as Plaza de La Harinera, "from the City Council we wanted to reinforce our collaboration by making this service available to the residents of Arrecife to enjoy a special summer of outdoor night cinema," says Abigail González.

For her part, Rosmen Quevedo, emphasizes that "any initiative that generates enthusiasm and contributes to keeping our seniors active will have our support, and if it also serves to enrich them culturally as is the case, then even more so." An initiative that starts this Thursday, the 10th, and Friday, the 11th with the screenings, both starting at 9:00 PM in the Plaza de Juan Lemes de La Vegueta (Tinajo), of 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial' and 'A Fish Called Wanda'.

Registrations to attend the films that are screened on Thursdays within the aforementioned island cycle 'Traveling Cinema' are made through the link and on Fridays through this other link. Both specify the pick-up location and times for both the outbound and return journeys. The rest of the program can be consulted through the link.
