The Arrecife City Council has proceeded to approve the call for subsidies under a competitive concurrence regime, endowed with an amount of 120,000 euros, for the acquisition of textbooks, school supplies, computer equipment, uniforms and sportswear 2023, as published in the Official Gazette of the Province last Friday, October 6.

Yonathan de León and the Minister of Social Welfare point out that the purpose of said call is to "partially collaborate in the expenses" that, as a consequence of the schooling of minors, families in which their "economic and social circumstances so advise" must incur.

The application period will remain open from tomorrow, Monday, October 9 to November 7, both included, and textbooks not financed in the Government of the Canary Islands' free book program, as well as school supplies, computer equipment, uniforms and sportswear, exclusively for school use, that minors require during the academic year determined in the call, will be considered as eligible expenses.

The amount of the subsidy to be granted will be "200 euros" and in no case will it exceed this amount per enrolled minor.

The regulatory bases of the call and its corresponding annexes are available to interested persons on the Notice Board of the Electronic Headquarters of the Arrecife City Council and on the web, and at the Social Welfare Center located on Avda. Medular s/n (Next to the Red Cross). Likewise, you can request information by telephone contact at no. 928 81 27 50 ext. 1400.

Applications and their mandatory documentation will be submitted to the General Registry or auxiliary Registries of the Arrecife City Council and at the electronic headquarters.
