The Department of Social Welfare of the Arrecife City Council, headed by Maite Corujo, announces the opening of the registration period for the 2025 edition of the Municipal Summer Reconciliation Camps.

The application period will be open from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20, both inclusive. Registration can be done by email (camparrecife@inserfo.com) or in person at Junglen Kids, in the Arrecife Shopping Center (upper floor, premises 10-11).

Interested parties should note that admission will be on a strict first-come, first-served basis, once all required documentation has been submitted.

This initiative, consolidated in the municipality as a key resource to facilitate the reconciliation of family and work life during the summer period, is developed within the framework of the Co-responsible Plan, with specific funding for this purpose. The 2025 edition incorporates significant changes compared to previous editions, highlighting the renovation of the educational centers that will host the activities, which will be the CEIP Antonio Zerolo, Adolfo Topham and Argana Alta.

"We want to emphasize that families can choose the center that best suits their needs, without their children having to be enrolled in those schools. The important thing is to facilitate reconciliation and for children to enjoy a safe and enriching environment during the holidays," explained Councilor Maite Corujo.

The camps will take place from July 3 to August 29, from 09:00 to 14:00, with the possibility of early reception from 07:00. The service is completely free and is available for children between 3 and 12 years old, provided they are registered in Arrecife.

A total of 180 places are offered (60 per center), of which 50% are reserved for families in vulnerable situations who are users of social services, and the remaining 50% will be freely available.

In addition, 15 specific places are maintained for children with functional diversity, distributed according to needs and demand.

"In each edition we listen to families and improve what is in our power. That is why this year we are once again committed to an inclusive and accessible model for all, with places reserved for boys and girls with functional diversity, an aspect that we value as essential," Corujo stressed.

With these camps, the Arrecife City Council reinforces its commitment to policies to support families, especially in those periods in which reconciliation becomes a real challenge.
