The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, announced this Saturday through his social media that the Argana Sports Pavilion will reopen its doors next week, after remaining closed for 13 years and following a series of interventions aimed at adapting the building to current regulations.

De León, who visited the Argana Alta facilities on Saturday afternoon, stated that the municipal government is "finalizing the official acts for the reopening" of a space he defined as the largest pavilion with the highest capacity in Lanzarote. The mayor emphasized that the infrastructure was inaugurated in its day "without complying with the law," and stressed that it can now be used again by residents, athletes, and clubs in the municipality. **"Next week will be important for Argana Alta** and for the entire municipality of Arrecife. As mayor of Arrecife, I deliver," he expressed.
