The Arrecife City Council has organized the activity called “Tell me a cheese”, an experience that unites gastronomy and narrative, which will take place on August 26 starting at 8:00 p.m. at the Arrecife Civic Center.

The initiative consists of a storytelling session aimed at an adult audience, accompanied by a pairing of cheeses with products popularly called kilometer zero, a consumption trend that consists of “promoting the production and purchase of local products, that is, those whose origin or collection is less than 100 kilometers from the point of distribution, or consumption”.

“I encourage everyone interested in literature and gastronomy, or who are simply curious to enjoy this unique experience, to participate in this activity that we have prepared with great care and of which I am sure that those who are lucky enough to participate will not be disappointed”, says the Councilor for Culture of Arrecife, Abigail González.

The activity will be led by the Lanzarote storyteller Isabel Cabrera, who assures that “behind every cheese there are many stories worth telling”. She will be accompanied by Francisco de Asís Ruiz, a specialist in sensory analysis of cheese and one of the leading experts in the goat sector in Spain, who will introduce attendees “to the exciting world of this traditional product of Lanzarote and all the gastronomic experience that surrounds it”.

The Culture Area of the Arrecife City Council informs that registrations to enjoy this experience can now be made through the WhatsApp number 627 336 889.
