The Arrecife City Council has started the installation of the Christmas lights, which will debut new elements in the city's neighborhoods. To ensure that the Christmas atmosphere reaches all neighborhoods of Arrecife, Mayor Yonathan de León has requested the concessionaire company to advance the works to allow the lighting to be switched on at the end of November.

The Public Lighting Area, attached to the Department of Public Works, is supervising this installation after the tender carried out by the Arrecife City Council last year. The new Christmas lighting incorporates new elements, which will feature LED technology to ensure low energy consumption.

Sustainable elements have also been added to enhance the Christmas atmosphere in the neighborhoods of Arrecife, "an old demand from residents for these special decorations to be at the entrances to their streets, roundabouts and squares."

Mayor Yonathan de León, direct head of the Department of Public Works, has been in the neighborhoods of San Francisco Javier, Tinasoria and Lloret these days, where the workers of the awarded company are carrying out the deployments and installations of this lighting for Christmas. The awarded company has almost two months to carry out this installation.

Yonathan de León intends that "both residents and visitors will once again have a good experience contemplating that Christmas, the atmosphere and programming, will be very present in the capital of Lanzarote."
