The Arrecife City Council announces the call for aid for university and training cycle students residing in Arrecife who are studying outside the island in the current academic year 2022-2023. There are 15 days from this Friday, March 31, the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the Province, to submit applications.
The requirements are to be a national of a member state of the European Union or a foreigner with a residence permit, be registered in Arrecife and be enrolled in the 2022-2023 academic year in university education or intermediate or higher-level vocational training cycles in official public or private centers that are based outside the island.
From the Government group they point out that "an effort has been made not only to increase the items since last year, in the 2021-2022 academic year it went from 200,000 euros to the current 250,000", but also that "we have managed to convene them during the current academic year and we are working to make the payment effective more quickly", according to the mayor Astrid Pérez. In addition, the mayor announces that "the budget that we will approve this year contemplates increasing the total amount allocated to help university students and intermediate or higher-level training cycles in Arrecife who study outside of Lanzarote to 350,000 euros".
The Official Gazette of the Province, BOP, publishes this Friday the call for this academic year with the regulatory bases, the subsidy modality, which is by competitive concurrence, the documentation to be submitted and the requirements of the beneficiaries, as well as the deadline for submitting applications established in 15 days from its publication in the BOP.
The Councilor for Education, Saro González, recalls that "the procedure is simple and that the documentation to be provided is the application, a photocopy of the applicant's ID or their representative's ID, the current registration, a responsible declaration that they are in a position to receive the aid and the IBAN code of the bank into which we will deposit the money".
Applications can be downloaded from the Arrecife City Council website, accessing the electronic headquarters and are located in the notice board section. They will be addressed to the mayor and submitted to the entry registry of the City Council or through the electronic headquarters.
