People accredited with the cat feeder card in Arrecife will be able to go to the Animal Welfare Center facilities, starting next Monday, December 23, to collect feed for the feline colonies of the municipality. This service will be available upon request via WhatsApp at 603-973915.
The Department of Animal Welfare, led by Jacobo Lemes, "thus reaffirms its commitment to the care and responsible management of feline colonies, providing key support to volunteer caregivers who perform this important work."
Councilor Jacobo Lemes has highlighted that this measure "is part of a comprehensive plan to support feline colonies, which includes the provision of food, specific training and a direct line of communication to ensure efficient management." "From the City Council we continue working to improve the quality of life of animals in our municipality, providing resources and tools that also promote good neighborly coexistence," he says.
Currently, Arrecife has more than 50 people registered as caregivers of feline colonies, who are responsible for feeding, caring for and supervising cats in different areas of the city. "This joint effort between the local administration and the citizens reflects the collective commitment to animal welfare and respect for the urban environment," they conclude from the City Council.
