The councilor of the Canarian Coalition (CC) in the Yaiza City Council, Ángel Domínguez, has announced that he will communicate next week what his future will be, that is, if "I leave, I stay, or I go home", although for the moment, he continues working in the Consistory.
Domínguez explained in an interview on Radio Lanzarote-Onda cero that neither his colleague Fátima Viñoly nor he have made any decision yet, since they have not had any ultimatum: "There is what has been said in the press release, "urge the councilors to leave", nothing more".
The councilor also commented that it was Migdalia Machín who communicated the breakup to him, since, Mateo Ramón de la Cruz and Emilio Machín "kicked him out" of the party's WhatsApp groups a few weeks ago. Therefore, once he returns from Fitur -where he is currently, as head of the Tourism area of the municipality- and before determining anything, he wants to sit down and talk with her.
"It would have been a better strategy to boast about the agreement"
The still councilor has also expressed his discontent with the breakup: "What I regret is that, with its defects and virtues, this agreement has brought many things forward in Yaiza".
Therefore, he believes that it would have been a better strategy to "boast and sell the work we have done" than to "disassociate ourselves", since "there are worse conflicts in other city councils and they are still there".
Therefore, he considers that the breakup "is a political strategy for the new elections", because "now there is another candidate and we have to promote him", in reference to his still colleague, Emilio Machín; and that the agreement table has been "an excuse", since, "if two people want to see each other, they find a way".
