Lanzarote has just premiered a new party, which has been promoted by former members of Ciudadanos on the island. Agrupación Progresista de Lanzarote (ApdL) is the name of this new formation, which is officially registered by the Ministry of the Interior since last June 11.

Among the promoters is the former coordinator of Ciudadanos on the island, Pablo Díaz Feria. Along with him, Noemí Del Pino Ramírez Rodríguez and María Del Pilar Herrera Muñoz appear as legal representatives and promoters of the new party. Both also belonged to Cs and have been on the lists of the orange formation, although they did not obtain positions. In the case of Noemí del Pino, she was a candidate for the Senate and also headed the last list for Arrecife, but did not obtain representation.

The registered office of the new party has been established in Jacinto Borges Díaz street in Arrecife. In addition, the Party Registry of the Ministry includes a website, www.agrupacionprogresistadelanzarote.com, although it was not active until this Tuesday.

What they do have open is a page on Facebook, which was created on March 20, which confirms that the promoters have been working on this initiative for months. However, for the moment they have not had activity on that social network either, and it was not until last Friday when their registration as a political party became official.
