The San Bartolomé City Council is tendering a new improvement to the pavement in the Playa Honda industrial area, this time in the section between El Caidero and La Hoya streets on Mamerto Cabrera Avenue. This is the service road that gives access to the commercial area and parking spaces within UA3. The deadline for submitting offers is December 7.

The mayor, Isidro Pérez, recalls that this action, like those already carried out at that point and those planned for the coming months, responds to the urgency due to the poor condition of the pavement, hence the direct intervention of the City Council in a work whose amount will be passed on in full to the owners through urbanization fees.

These actions are part of an ambitious project worth around 2 million euros, whose objective is to condition the state of the roads in this key space for the municipality's economy. Last October, the tender was also launched for the rehabilitation of the section parallel to the highway that leads to this same avenue. “It is essential to guarantee safety, traffic flow and connectivity in this lung of the island's economy and industry”, he expresses.

The mayor indicates that this space is already, on the other hand, “a benchmark in the Canary Islands due to the aesthetic ordinance that has been so well received by the companies in the commercial, industrial and service park. An image that conveys the respect of the municipality of San Bartolomé for the territory and the defense of heritage values”.
