The vaccination rate continues to fall in Lanzarote and since September 19, only 673 new people have been reached with the first dose. Thus, the percentage of vaccinated people has only increased by half a point in more than three weeks, going from 83.18% to 83.66% of the target population until October 13.

This means that there are 115,368 people with at least one dose on the island, while another 22,500 who are part of the target population are still not vaccinated. Regarding the number of immunized people with the complete regimen, the percentage is 82.43%, having reached 113,661 people. In the Canary Islands, the percentage of immunized people is 83.21% and that of people with at least one dose is 84.9%, so in both cases Lanzarote is now below the average for the archipelago.

The total number of doses administered in Lanzarote in the last 24 days is 2,742, although this figure includes the second doses and also the third doses that have begun to be administered, first to certain vulnerable patients and then to the elderly living in residences. In addition, it has also been approved to administer this third dose to the entire population over 70 years of age.

The 12 to 19 age group, about to reach the forty-somethings

By age groups, young people between 20 and 29 years old are still the most lagging behind and only 65.5% have been immunized (with one dose, 67.7% have been reached). They are followed by those aged 30 to 39, with 71.4% immunized and 72.9% with one dose.

Meanwhile, the 12 to 19 age group is the one that has continued to grow the most and is about to reach the forty-somethings. In fact, with one dose they already surpass them, with 83%, compared to 82.4% of the 40 to 49 group. As for the percentage of immunization with the two doses, in the youngest group it has already reached 80.8%, and in the 40s group it has reached 81.6%

For their part, those over 80 have already reached 100% with the complete vaccination schedule for months, while those aged 70 to 79 have reached 97.4% and those aged 60 to 69 have reached 95.3%. Of the citizens between 50 and 59 years old, there are already 91.9% who have received the complete vaccine and 92.3% have received at least one dose.

In the general population, the vaccination percentage is 72%

Including the entire population of the island and not only the target population -which for now reaches those over 12 years of age-, the percentage of vaccination reached so far is reduced to 72.95%, according to data from the Lanzarote Health Area.

As for those who have received at least one dose, the percentage is 74.04% of the total population of the island.
