Caleta de Famara woke up this Sunday in mourning after learning of the death of one of its most beloved neighbors, Tim Jones, a pioneer of surf schools and one of the best-known neighbors in that coastal town in the municipality of Teguise, a paradise for that sport in Lanzarote.
“The town, yesterday, woke up with the sad news. Rest in peace, Tim, great neighbor with a good heart and pioneer of the surf schools of Famara", reads the message that the Caleta de Famara Neighborhood Association has published on its social networks.
Tim founded the Surf School Lanzarote, of which his son, Jamie Jones, is one of its instructors.
