The Tías City Council, through the project "Enredo Participativo, Municipal Center for Information, Advice and Social Management", will facilitate the collection and subsequent transfer of plastic bottle caps for recycling. The objective is to raise funds that will be allocated to families in need of orthoprosthetic material, who have economic difficulties in acquiring it.
To this end, the City Council plans to sign an agreement with the non-profit association "Iraitza Tapones Solidarios", whereby it will install collection points in educational centers, cultural centers, association headquarters and municipal offices so that residents can deposit the plastic caps.
Subsequently, a municipal vehicle will be responsible for transferring them to the recycling plant, where they will be delivered to the company Plascan, which will be responsible for crushing them and giving the City Council a voucher with the deposited weight.
List
Both parties that sign the agreement will keep exact control of the quantity deposited, as well as the amount of the vouchers that Iraitza Tapones Solidarios will manage, with the Department of Social Welfare being responsible for preparing a list of people who need orthoprosthetic material in strict order of official request.
The association, in coordination with the Department, will be responsible for delivering to these families, with priority to those residing in the municipality of Tías, the economic contributions they need for the acquisition of said material.
