Once again, Mancha Blanca was the arrival point for the thousands of pilgrims from all the towns of Lanzarote, including the island of La Graciosa, and also from other islands. As scheduled, at 7:00 p.m. the first pilgrims began to arrive at the Plaza de Los Dolores, with the friends of the horse, who brought some beautiful specimens closer to the Virgin. The horses bowed to the Virgin with one leg following the instructions of their riders.
Behind them followed the Tinajo Town Hall float with the institutional offering from the corporation and the Lanzarote Council. Among the authorities who came to Dolores this year were the president of the Lanzarote Council, Oswaldo Betancort, the president of the Parliament, Ástrid Pérez, the Minister of Culture of the Canary Islands Government, Migdalia Machín, parliamentarians, and all the mayors of the island. In this way, the massive parade of pilgrims officially began, who, loaded with large quantities of non-perishable products, arrived non-stop for two and a half hours.
