Descent of the Virgin of Los Dolores

Mancha Blanca woke up this Saturday with the murmur of about two thousand people who got up early to start a historic event such as the third Descent of the Virgen de Los Dolores.

The previous events that took Los Dolores in pilgrimage from their hermitage to the capital took place in 1939 and 1965. This one coincides with the celebration of the 225 years of Arrecife as a municipality and the 200 years of the last eruption that took place in Lanzarote, in 1824 in Tao.

At six in the morning Mass has been celebrated and later the pilgrimage of the Virgen de Los Volcanes began, which will travel the 22 kilometers distance that separates Mancha Blanca from Arrecife.
