The Cabildo of Lanzarote informs of the realization of the road closures that will be carried out on the occasion of the Descent of the Virgen de los Dolores to guarantee the safety of the people participating in the celebration, which will take place this Saturday, November 30.

The Island Corporation emphasizes that the schedule of these closed roads will depend on the development of the pilgrimage, and may be affected by the volume of participation. It should be noted that this event brings together a large influx of public and the Cabildo hopes that prevention and safety measures will be respected.

Lanzarote's Security and Emergency Consortium explains that the pilgrimage of the Descent of the Virgen de Los Dolores will have a route of 22 kilometers in length, lasting between six and seven hours. It is also recommended that each citizen who participates study their physical condition based on the data presented, use appropriate footwear and clothing, and bring drinks and food during the journey.

In addition, no vehicle of motor or animal traction will be allowed to participate. The start of the walk will be on the esplanade of Los Dolores, around 7:00 am.
