The Tigotán gymnastics club closed the 2021-2022 season last Saturday, with its traditional festival at the Tías Municipal Pavilion.
The sports club belongs to the municipality of Tías, and combines its training at the La Asomada school and at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote, in Arrecife. The Club currently has 110 students, who participated in the closing ceremony last Saturday.
The mayor of the municipality, José Juan Cruz, attended the festival, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Sergio García. At the end of the festival, the mayor presented a series of decorations to the Tías gymnastics club.
From the gymnastics club itself they say they are "very happy" with the celebration of the festival, which brought together around 400 people in the municipal pavilion. In addition, it was the first festival "with normality" after the pandemic, since the one they held last Christmas was done with the restrictions derived from the coronavirus and with the use of masks.
