More than 10,000 people enjoyed the traditional Three Kings parade in the capital of Lanzarote, according to the City Council.

Attendees witnessed the passage of Their Majesties on the route from the fairgrounds of the island's capital, in a parade full of light, color, magic and harmony in which, between dancing and fun, the three monarchs on their thrones, guided by the star of Bethlehem, arrived to the symbolic Puente de Las Bolas where the event ended after the burning of fireworks that said goodbye to the royalty of the East on their most special night.

At the end of the parade, the mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, expressed her gratitude to the citizens for the exemplary participation in the show. "I want to express my enormous satisfaction for the success of the celebration of the Three Kings parade in our city," explained Pérez.

For her part, the Councilor for Festivities of Arrecife, Encarna Páez, thanked "all the volunteers and collaborators who have made it possible for this traditional celebration to be carried out so successfully." "I also want to congratulate all the boys and girls who have enjoyed this day and their families for their involvement. I hope that this moment of joy and coexistence will be engraved in everyone's memory and that we continue working together to continue improving our city," she added.

The royal retinue, which started at 6:00 p.m., on a route inverse to the one carried out in the 2022 edition, was headed by "Too Brass", a dixie-style musical band, similar to the jazz of New Orleans and Chicago, which with cheerful and carefree music was in charge of breaking the ice to the delight of the numerous public that crowded on both sides of the parade.

To the rhythm of their music, the beginning of the first parade took place, made up of inflatable seahorses, preceding the float of the Hiperdino Group, which in this edition joined the parade, followed, in an interspersed way, by different parades and floats.

Regarding the former, it is worth highlighting the performance of two circus companies, the Aerial Circus School of Lanzarote and the MCB Circus School of Las Palmas, with juggling, hula hoops, stilt walkers and unicycles; the participation of the children's murga "Los Noveleros", dressed in Colombian ponchos, the elves, Bob Esponja, Dora "the explorer", Mario Bros, four illuminated fairies, puppets characterized as the Lunnis, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, four swans and two jellyfish that delighted the little ones.

On the other hand, the most spectacular part of the celebration was provided by the seven floats that participated in this edition. In this sense, in addition to the one of the Hiperdino Group, which was in charge of opening the parade, the public could enjoy the float representing the Palace of Toys with six elves on board, the Encanto float, which like the Disney movie that inspired its fantasy received great praise from the public; the Kung Fu Panda float with the bear, the bird and the tiger on board; the Avatar float that brought with it dream walkers, those hybrids from the movie of the same name genetically designed to house a human mind.

There was also the float of the star of Bethlehem, which serves as a guide to the Three Wise Men, which carried the character of Giselle and those people who need to move in wheelchairs and to whom the organization reserved a place next to the protagonist of the Disney factory movie "Enchanted".

After the float that served as a guide to Their Majesties from the East, came the last one to participate, pulled by a pony, transporting the royal mailbox from which four pages were collecting the letters with the requests for gifts to the Three Wise Men from the latecomers who had not yet sent theirs.

To close the parade, which in the final part was animated by the parranda "Pal' Porrón", came a parade of Romans opening the way to the Nativity Scene accompanied by six shepherds with torches that preceded the arrival of Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar, imposing on the backs of their camels, who put the finishing touch to an impressive celebration that took place without incidents worthy of note thanks to the important work carried out by the Local Police of Arrecife, National Police, Civil Protection and the Island Fire Service.

The event closed with a spectacular fireworks display from the Puente de Las Bolas.

At the end of the Three Kings parade and the fireworks, the public was able to enjoy the "Three Kings Night Concert" with the performance of the musical group Bohemia Lanzarote that took place in the Plaza de El Almacén.
